We all have long days.
Every one of us has had a long day.
Exhibit A: I didn't get much sleep the night before. I've just gotten 3 hours of sleep. I'd just returned from a six-hour drive and another city visit. I'm exhausted. I could use this as an excuse to abandon today's note, but it is basically "An Excuse."
What is the source of the problem?
It's not that we don't have time; it's just that we lack the discipline to stick to a routine.
I can sit for 15 minutes and take notes. Then, I can sit and recount my day, discuss the oppressive heat, or share my music collection.
Where does it go wrong? It’s not that we don’t have time. It’s just that we aren’t disciplined enough to keep up with a routine.
It will be difficult and possibly dull if the routine is useful and provides growth. So keep up the good work if your current routine isn't working for you. Please remove it from your life and alter your habits.
Discipline + Routine = Consistency.
